Hope House Babies Home; Children’s Home in Karen, Nairobi

Hope House Babies Home, located in Nairobi, Kenya, began operating in April 2002. Pastors Glen and Robert Bruce, Australian Christian missionaries with African Growth Ministries, founded the home. They started it with just two babies, and it has since grown to care for up to 24 babies at a time. The home accepts babies between one day and six months old. Hospitals and clinics refer most of the children, and the home cares for them until they are adopted or turn three years old. If a child reaches the age of three without being adopted, the staff transitions them to a carefully vetted facility that specializes in caring for older children.

The National Council for Children’s Services (NCCS) has duly licensed and registered Hope House Babies Home.

Applicants must be between 25 and 65 years old when they submit their application. Joint applicants, who must be married to each other, must adopt a child who is at least 6 weeks old and a resident of the Republic of Kenya.
