The BigFish Restaurant has two locations within Nairobi; one along Church Road, in Westlands and another location at Garden estate road (off Thika road) opposite Rosters hotel. Bradox Osumo, who was a jobless graduate from Kenyatta University before joining the Bigfish restaurant, is the face of The BigFish which is now a popular brand.

The Bigfish restaurant increased its popularity rapidly after Raila Odinga’s visit at the restaurant, alongside Martha Karua during the 2022 general elections campaigns. Bradox Osumo noted that the visit increased the visibility of the restaurant and some people comes to just taking pictures of them in the restaurant and sharing them online on their timelines and this made the BigFish Restaurant as one of the most active brands on social media. Bradox also noted that, because of its increased popularity, Bigfish Restaurant has now served governors, celebrities and other high profiled individuals including Johnson Sakaja. The “Bigfish” has now become a well-known brand and it is now the go-to place for mouth-watering fish meals.

Currently, with two outlets in the city, Big Fish Restaurant has now over 40 staff and plans to extend its operations to Ngong Road and also to Mombasa Road. Big Fish only sells a brand of fish known as Tilapia and it has been observed that Coconut fish is one of the most popular meal among “the Bigfish” customers. Customers can order either dry fish or wet fish with accompaniments of either Ugali or Rice. The Bigfish restaurant also offers fruit juices and smoothies, perfect drinks to accompany your meals.

The Big Fish Restaurant gets it fresh fish from Lake Victoria, and they prepare fish meals on orders.  For instance, it takes approximately about 10 minutes to prepare fried fish. The BigFish’s Westlands branch, averagely sells 100 pieces of fish on a daily basis.
