2 Kwetu home of peace
Kwetu home of peace was established in 1993 as a Charitable Children’s Institution under the Archdiocese of Nairobi. The home was founded by Fr. Michael Meunier, a missionary of Africa, as a Care and Feeding Centre for street children. Today, their work is to rescue, rehabilitate, and reintegrate street boys back into their families. They rescue boys between the ages of 8 and 14 from the street.

3 NYUMBANI – Children Home
Nyumbani is a recognized world leader in providing HIV services to children and affected families in Kenya. They deliver comprehensive medical and home-based HIV services in crucial areas of need: diagnostic services and critical medical care, holistic family and community building, education and preventive care, environmental sustainability, and self-reliance.
They offer the following programs:
(i) A refuge for HIV affected children
Nyumbani Children’s Home provides life-saving care and loving home to more than 100 HIV-positive children in Kenya. Ages newborn to 23, the children live at the Children’s Home until they are healthy and self-reliant.
(ii) Nyumbani Diagnostic Laboratory
Through generous support from donors around the world, they opened their world-class Nyumbani Diagnostic Laboratory in 2011. A modern, internationally accredited laboratory gives Nyumbani scientists and medical staff high-tech tools to better diagnose and treat Kenya’s HIV/AIDS patients.
(iii) Nyumbani Lea Toto Community Outreach
The Lea Toto project was initiated in 1998 as a community-based activity where orphaned children as a result of HIV/AIDS could remain with their caregivers in their communities.
